Hi there, I'm Mary! I provide a safe place for you to explore your life experiences, the dynamics of who you are, and what brought you to therapy. The connection between the client and therapist is a very important aspect of the therapeutic process. I believe each of us is connected, and therapy can provide the safety necessary to best explore what you, as an individual, need. My approach I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. My services offer a safe, containing space to explore all of these areas. Through mindfulness, I am able to create a bite-size approach to what otherwise might seem insurmountable. In my work with clients, I accompany them on their journey. I work to help to lighten the load through clarity, compassion, and an ability to hold the space for whatever wants to present itself. My focus I have extensive experience in working with Substance Abuse, Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, Couples Issues, Managing Illness, Grief and Loss, and Chronic Pain. My communication style It is an honor to be invited to bear witness to one's life process. Life offers challenges; what we do with and how we meet those challenges can determine how fully we appreciate life and embrace our potential. The end result of a hard life struggle can be so sweet if handled with care. You feel it in your bones, you embody the growth. Therapy offers a chance to taste it. I enjoy facilitating that experience. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2007. I chose Pacifica for a number of reasons, the foremost of which was their understanding of the importance of the soul. I had noticed that many people had difficulty expressing their truest selves, whether due to conditioning or fear. I longed to be able to help people to comfortably exist in a place that was most nourishing and supportive. I also wanted to facilitate deeper and more meaningful connections.
